Centenary Series “Pacific Trader” “VH-EDA”
In addition to the Boeing Dreamliner already presented in a special livery in 1: 500 and 1: 200 (item no. 534079 and 570756), Herpa is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Australian airline with a small series of models from different eras in its history. From the DC-4 to the 707 and the Jumbo Jet, Herpa will announce various limited editions in 1: 500 and 1: 200 over the course of the year. The first historical model of the small series in 1: 200 scale is a Douglas DC-4, which has been used by Qantas for almost three decades. Taken over by Qantas Empire Airways in 1949, she flew for Qantas until 1977. The model bears the painting introduced in 1971 with the striking ocher-colored stripe, which was to symbolize the beginnings of the airline in the Australian outback.
Small and life-like model for Adult collectors. Not suitable for children under 14 years!
