Today, and for almost 50 years, Rinnen has its headquarters in Moers. However, the company was founded by Konrad Rinnen in Duisburg-Homberg 70 years ago. With the purchase of the first tank containers in the mid/late 70s, the foundation for intermodal transport was laid. With several locations in Germany and also Europe, Rinnen has a nationwide network that provides jobs for around 750 employees. The Mercedes-Benz Actros Streamspace with narrow cab carries one of around 3,500 tank containers (mainly 20-foot, but swap bodies, 30- and 40-foot containers are also used) in operation at Rinnen.
