Description
Scale 1:200
The twelve DC-6s stationed at West Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport, which connected the enclosed city with West Germany, were not only a common sight in Germany in the 1950s and 60s. From the early 1950s, Pan American World Airways put into service no fewer than 54 Douglas DC-6s, which could be found almost anywhere in the world. Delivered in 1952, this clipper was partly used on Pan Am’s transatlantic routes and later also in domestic German traffic. It is named after Betsy Ross, who is said to have embroidered the first official flag of the United States. In 1968 the aircraft was sold and replaced by Boeing 727.
Small and life-like model for Adult collectors. Not suitable for children under 14 years!
