Cable shunting devices are used to move wagons on loading sidings, in factory yards, under loading installations and the like. In times gone by, shunting by means of a cable drawn by a winch was a common alternative in situations where a shunting locomotive could not be used.
Our replica operates with four moving, intricately designed pulleys and the included cable. The realistic winch house with interior fittings covers the enclosed drive motor in the model.
