HO 1:87 Scale
Fendt F15 tractor with a water-cooled single-cylinder diesel engine and Bautz tedder/hay turner from the Josef Bautz Works in Saulgau (Baden-Württemberg). This ingenious hay turner from the 1960s impresses with its multiple applications. Like the original, the model can be perfectly positioned in various ways with just a few simple adjustments. By cleverly rotating the wheels and selecting the attachment, the following positions can be replicated: transport position, full swath, double swaths from full swaths, double swaths from width, multiple swaths from full swaths, multiple swaths from width, and swath spreading.
(Swath = harvested crop/grass/grain gathered in rows)
High on horseback! As early as 1930, brothers Hermann and Xaver Fendt, under the guidance of their father Johann Georg Fendt, constructed the first 6 hp Dieselross tractor in Kempten, Bavaria. In 1937, their company was entered into the commercial register. Since the company placed the highest value on quality, sales success soon followed.
In 1949, the F15 model was released, equipped with a water-cooled, single-cylinder diesel engine from MWM. The tractor also featured a ZF transmission with four forward gears and one reverse gear. Just one year later, the revised F15G version was launched. New to this model was the transmission developed in-house by Fendt, which, instead of the previous four forward and one reverse gears, could optionally be equipped with eight forward and two reverse gears. In addition, the front axle was reinforced, and the front wheel hubs were dustproofed.
The rounded hood design, introduced with the F15, was retained until the end of the Fendt diesel tractor production in 1958. Between 1949 and 1957, 15,071 Fendt tractors were sold. In 1997, the family-owned company was acquired by the American corporation AGCO, which was renamed AGCO GmbH in 2009. The Fendt brand was retained and remains the company’s flagship premium brand.
Shortly after the acquisition, the product range was expanded to include forage harvesters, combine harvesters, tedders, mowers, rakes, and balers.
