Iveco is a reminiscence of the grand days of Danzas Logistics

A name with the iconic ring of an international forwarding company: “Danzas” in the 1980s was the epitome of international transports all across Europe. After previously releasing the Magirus 235 D with aluminium flatbed body, WIKING is now launching the Iveco successor as a flatbed tractor-trailer. Even after Magirus lost their independence, “Danzas” continued to use the subsequent series of the Iveco Group. However, the Danzas Group too ultimately fell victim to the internationalisation and merger mania of the logistics industry. In 1999, Deutsche Post first procured the majority of the shares in the publicly traded Danzas Holding before completely acquiring the company shortly thereafter and integrating it into the Post Group. To unify their brand identities, the group merged DHL, Deutsche Post Euro-Express and Danzas to form DHL – relegating Danzas to the history books.
