NEW DESIGN
As the successor to the small van Ford Transit Custom, which was released in the second half of 2012, the 7th generation of the popular van is being released in 2014. Unlike its predecessor, the new Transit is only available with front-wheel drive. For the first time, there are also two segments to cover the different weight classes and driving needs. A small, light version with a payload of up to one tonne, and a model in the higher weight class with a permitted total weight of 2.0 to 5.0 tonnes. The models with high roofs are also 100 mm higher than the previous vehicles. The Transit is available as a flatbed, panel van and minibus. The engines are 2.0 – 3.2 litre diesel engines (74-147 kW) and electric motors (198 kW).
