Land Rover Discovery Beige Metallic
The Land Rover Discovery was introduced in 1989 as a more affordable alternative to the Defender and Range Rover to counter growing competition from Japanese off-road vehicles. The Series I was developed in just three years and was highly successful, with over 350,000 units sold.
The Series II followed in 1998 with improved engines (4.0-liter V8 and 2.5-liter diesel), standard ABS, and an optional automatic transmission. The vehicle was longer, offered seven seats as an option, and received a facelift in 2002. A more powerful 4.6-liter V8 was only available outside of Germany.
