With this first of soon to be three A321 freighters, Lufthansa Cargo is operating aircraft for short- and medium-haul routes for the first time since the 1990s. Originally built in 2008 for the Austrian airline Niki, this A321 was converted into a freighter by Lufthansa Technik and has been supporting plans to expand the European network of Lufthansa’s cargo division since early 2022.
