The BASIC range is intended for model railroaders (primarily of era 4, from 1965 to 1990) in order to offer simple models at a reasonable price. The MAN F8 with short cab is equipped with the smooth milk collection containers, which are finished in bright shiny silver. The model appears in a color scheme common at the time in sapphire blue with an oxide red chassis.
