The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Cabrio was already quite popular at WIKING when the program was running – young buyers were happy to buy this dream car. With the 190 SL, Mercedes-Benz came close to its “big brother” in the 1950s – the 300 SL Gullwing was of course more impressive and faster. At the “International Motor Sports Show” in New York, Mercedes-Benz presented both of the SL models that are as mythical as they are legendary. Mercedes-Benz liked to refer to the 190 SL as a “sports touring car” in brochures. The coexistence of two different SL series at the time was unique in the history of Daimler-Benz and was later withdrawn. WIKING revitalizes the historic forms of the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL and presents the summery convertible in contemporary light blue. Light blue body with clear coat finish, black interior and convertible top, pearl white steering wheel, silver chassis. Headlights in silver at the front, indicators in orange. Radiator grille with silver Mercedes-Benz star and grille frame with center bar. Rear lights printed carmine red. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz star on the rear and the type designation “190 SL” with an underscore in silver. Side door handles, decorative strips and stone chip protection as well as window frames silvered. Wheels with whitewall design.
